Lucky Beetle is a Vintage German Reverse Intaglio Glass Cabochon, hanging from sterling silver 17 inch chain sweetly interrupted by diamond shaped links. Lucky Beetle is a reverse painted intaglio. Which is a crystal cut in the form of a domed cabochon, that is carved in intaglio on its flat back with a motif that is realistically painted in minute detail and is surrounded by a transparent ground. These vintage glass intaglio cabochons were popular from the mid 1800s through the 1960s. This particular design was made in West Germany and is from the mid 50s to early 60s.
